It's long, soft wool grown about 1mm per day. The rabbit is sheared 4 times a year, that gives around 200g of pure wool. A good Angora rabbit produces 800- 1200g of wool per year. The wool is composed of 10% coverts and 90% under- wool/undercoat. It is sorted by length, quality and purity. The wool is soft, smooth and light. It does not itch or sting and it insulates heat and absorbs moisture. Angora rabbit wool is lustrous and quite clean and stronger that sheep's wool.
