In the late 1990s, Bohusläns museum and representatives from Bohus stickning produced replica patterns in co-operation with textile designer Solveig Gustafsson. Her work is based on studies of the original pieces in the museum collection. Over the coming years Solveig brought one pattern after the other to light. Solveigs is retired today and her successor Pernille Silfverberg will continue to assemble knitting kits and supply angora yarn from her own rabbits with her company AngoraGarnet.
Knitting kit for wristwarmers:
Size:
Circumference about 19 cm (elastic). Length about 16 cm. In the finishing the wristwarmers can be soaked and then stretched to the desired length and width- Dried lying down.
Yarn:
A 2-ply, 50 % Angora/50 % Merino yarn (600m/100g) from AngoraGarnet.
Needles:
Circular needle number 2,5. For smaller size use circular needle number 2,0.
The mask density varies from 33m/10 cm on needles number 2,5.
